Keeping you in my thoughts. And as an RT, I can tell you that you want him on a vent after that procedure, even if just for airway management after the surgery. And it is probably the cartilage that they are going to use. The hyoid bone, thyroid cartilage and cricoid cartilage are all right there together. Best of luck to you all!
